RECOMMENDATION PHILOSOPHY
Fit and evidence come before promotion.
Homara’s goal is to help a homeowner find an appropriate next step—not to sell the highest bidder a position.
Eligibility first
Where applicable, Homara checks business identity, current license or credential evidence, requested service capability, service area, and material safety or suspension signals. A contractor with missing or stale required evidence may be excluded until it is refreshed.
How fit is evaluated
Eligible professionals are compared using evidence relevant to the request: specific service experience, geography, current availability and capacity, contactability, external quality signals, and observed Homara outcomes. Unknown evidence receives no positive credit.
Membership does not buy rank
Paid membership can provide operational tools and more current availability or scheduling information. It does not add a paid placement bonus, override eligibility, or guarantee recommendations, leads, appointments, or revenue.
Confidence and limitations
Homara distinguishes verified, observed, and public-candidate evidence. Public records, websites, reviews, availability, and business status can change. Homeowners should review the professional’s current license, insurance, scope, price, contract, permit requirements, and references before hiring.
Continuous evaluation
Recommendation behavior is tested with deterministic scenarios and real-inventory checks. Evidence freshness, exclusions, scores, and explanations are audit logged. Homeowner outcomes improve the system only after enough reliable observations exist.
Questions or corrections
Contractors can request correction or claim their profile through the Contractor Portal. Homeowners and professionals can contact support@homara.ai.
