SOURCE POLICY
What Homara considers trustworthy
We prefer sources that can be checked, traced to accountable organizations, and matched to the specific claim being made.
Preferred sources
Our hierarchy prioritizes government agencies, adopted codes and standards, manufacturer documentation, utilities, universities, recognized safety organizations, and professional trade associations.
Claim-level citations
Important factual, safety, cost, and code claims must link to a source that actually supports them. A general bibliography is not a substitute for claim-level evidence.
Local differences
Permits, codes, climate, labor rates, and utility programs differ by location. Local guidance identifies the geography and is reviewed when the underlying local source changes.
Commercial independence
Contractor participation or commercial relationships do not determine an article’s conclusion. Sources are selected for relevance and authority.
